Honda has been a stalwart in the overall two wheeler scooter segment. Over the years they have been able to provide the users with easy and affordable mobility through their ICE scooters. Beyond their ICE scooters the brand has been planning to revamp the overall mobility scene in India through their new EV models and a network of charging and battery swapping stations. The brand has not yet shared any specifics about their plans and how early would the first charging stations come up, but its possible that it might happen soon. Here is why the Activa-E could be the go to Choice for many.
The Honda Activa name has been synonymous with the gearless scooter commuter segment in India. Witnessing the change in trends and the shift of the market towards EV based vehicles Honda has launched their new Honda Activa-E as well as a QC1 for the market.
The bookings of both the vehicles have been initiated and interested buyers can book the vehicle for the sum of 1000 Rs. The Activa-E is the flagship vehicle amongst the two. It has been laden with features such as a TFT Display, Bluetooth Connectivity, Incoming Call Alerts and Navigation on the Top End Variant. Rather than just launching a new vehicle, Honda has had the foresight to establish a charging station network all along India. The vehicle is delivered with a set of two batteries each being 1.5 KWH, so that total capacity of the vehicle is around 3KWH. As per the official reports the users would be able to charge the batteries at Honda’s Own Battery Swapping stations.
Highlights Of The Vehicle
Key elements of the design would include a simple yet distinctive design that is unlike any other scooter in the market. Beyond the other changes the Honda Activa-E has a well designed rear tail light that has integrated LED’s that give the vehicle a quintessential design.
The scooter would have swappable batteries that have a combined capacity of 3 Kw and can emit a range of about 102 km. Beyond that the new variants would get a new TFT display with connectivity and incoming calls functionality. To navigate between the different settings that user would have top use the toggle switch on the left handlebar. Honda has taken care of all the necessary functions that the scooter rider might need. beyond that the scooter has also been offered with three riding modes Eco, Standard and Sport. The vehicle would be available fin two variants, The top model is priced around Rs 1.52 lakh. Bookings are open across Honda’s platform.
