Renault Duster became a formidable choice for buyers who sought a compact SUV that could go through a bit of off-roading unfettered without any issues. And for all such buyers it might be a good news to know that Renault might be planning to launch a new version of the Duster in India soon.
The plans became apparent with a recent spotting of a Duster 4×4 With a unique mild Hybrid powertrain. A plethora of changes were seen on the vehicle, the spy shots came from Motor.es confirmed that the off roader would come in with a petrol Hybrid as well as a Petrol LPG variant as well.
Spotted Testing
The vehicle was spotted testing on the outskirts of Spain. The vehicle had a 1.2 liter ECO-G engine along with a, 48 volt MHEV tech and 4×4 gear as well. Beyond that the car was also had Petrol LPG Tech as well. As of yet the vehicle is being tested with a few Powertrains options and in the spy shot that has been published online the vehicle is seen with a side mounted exhaust as well. This side mounted exhaust would not be a feature of the production spec variant.
Performance Numbers
As per the performance numbers Quoted by Auto Car its possible that the new vehicle might have a power output of around 150 ps. The vehicle could possibly be driven by a dual clutch automatic gearbox. Beyond these the vehicle would also have a 48v motor that would possibly be mounted on the rear axle. Globally the vehicle is available with a 100 hp 1.0 litre , Bi Fuel Three Cylinder Engine. And a 140 Hp 1.6 litre Petrol Hybrid engine as well.
Possible India Launch
Renault India would possibly launch a new Duster in 2026. Beyond the launch of the new car, the Present vehicles such as the Kiger as well as Triber might also be readied for a market launch.
