Top-selling SUV: Maruti Suzuki’s newly launched SUV Fronx is performing well in the market. The Company launched it in April this year. In May 2023, the company sold 143,708 units of cars in the domestic market. Maruti Suzuki sold around 33,000 units of its SUV lineup last month, which includes the Brezza, Fronx and Grand Vitara.

Impressive sales of Fronx

The company sold 9,683 units of Franks in May 2023. Initially, it was speculated that the new Franks might affect the sales of the Baleno hatchback, but that doesn’t seem to be happening. The Baleno remained the best-selling car in the country in May 2023 with 18,733 units sold. 

Hyundai Creta frontrunner

Hyundai Creta was the best-selling SUV in May with sales of 14,449 units. Tata Nexon grabbed the second position with 14,423 units sold, while Brezza sold 13,398 units and stood third. Punch and Venue secured the fourth and fifth positions respectively. Franks finished sixth.

Features of Maruti Franks

It has been given 1.2 litre naturally aspirated and 1.0 litre booster jet engine. The car’s 1.2 litre 4 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine gives the power of 90bhp. This engine generates a peak torque of 113 Nm. At the same time, the 1.0 litre 3 cylinder turbo booster jet petrol engine generates 100 bhp power and 147.6 Nm peak torque.
