Maruti Swift, Ignis, S-Presso Safety Ratings

Maruti Swift, Ignis, and S-Presso were recently tested in accordance with the new and updated Global NCAP crash test criteria. Swift hatchback received 1 star for adult and child protection, whereas Ignis and S-Presso received 1 star for adult and 0 star for child protection.

In adult and child occupant protection, the Swift received 19.19 out of 34 and 16.68 out of 49 points, respectively. Maruti Ignis received 16.48 points out of 34 for adult occupant protection and 3.86 points out of 49 for child occupant protection.

The Maruti S-Presso received a score of 20.03 out of 34 for adult occupant protection, but just 3.52 out of 49 for child occupant protection.

Maruti WagonR Safety Rating

The Maruti WagonR is yet to be tested in accordance with the new and updated Global NCAP crash test standards. However, it was tested in October 2019 under the old criteria, in which Global NCAP gave it a two-star safety rating. In terms of adult and child occupant protection, the hatchback received 6.93 out of 17 and 16.33 out of 49 points, respectively.
