Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce its eagerly awaited electric SUV, the Tata Punch EV, offering an impressive range of 315 kilometers on a single charge. The recent sightings of the camouflaged vehicle during testing have sparked excitement among automotive enthusiasts. This SUV, considered a game-changer for the company, is slated for launch in February 2024.
The heart of the Tata Punch EV lies in its battery technology, featuring a robust 24 kWh battery pack. Additionally, there is an alternative 19.2 kWh battery pack that provides a still commendable range of up to 215 kilometers. This dual-battery option caters to a diverse range of preferences and driving needs.
The SUV boasts contemporary features, including a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, LED headlights, and daytime running lights (DRL). Safety is a top priority, evident in the inclusion of airbags and an anti-lock braking system. The Tata Punch EV’s dimensions stand at 3827 mm in length, 1742 mm in width, and a wheelbase of 2445 mm. Its charging point is strategically positioned at the front, and it rides on distinct alloy wheels compared to its predecessor, the old Punch.
Inside, the Tata Punch EV offers a modern driving experience with a two-spoke steering wheel and advanced features such as a 360-degree camera and wireless charging. Practical elements like hill hold assist and auto air conditioning enhance the driving comfort. With a substantial wheelbase, the SUV is anticipated to deliver impressive performance even on challenging terrains.
