New Delhi: Customers are constantly looking for CNG cars to get rid of expensive petrol and diesel. Now a new option has been added to the market. Tata Motors has launched the new XM variant of its Tigor iCNG car. The price of the Tata Tigor XM ICNG variant (Tata Tigor XM iCNG) has been kept at Rs 7,39,900 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The peculiarity is that it has now become the cheapest Tigor CNG variant.
You got a 1199cc engine in this one. It generates a power of up to 72.40 hp and a maximum torque of 95 Nm. The certified range of the car is 26.49 km/kg. In this variant, the company has given many security and other features. The car includes a Harman infotainment system with a 4-speaker system, power windows, central locking, rear parking sensors, etc. The new Tigor XM iCNG variant will be available in a total of four color variants – Opal White, Daytona Grey, Arizona Blue and Deep Red.
Let us tell you that Tata Tigor is the second best selling sedan in the country. Its market share is 21%. The Tata Tigor is the only sedan in its segment to be available in petrol, electric and CNG versions. We will reveal that this year, Tata Motors launched its Tata Tiago and Tata Tigor in CNG version for the first time while introducing the iCNG range. Tata claims that the company’s CNG range has seen an excellent response in a short span of time, making it the choice of customers switching to CNG over petrol and diesel.
75% of customers buy the CNG version
Rajan Amba, Vice President, Sales, Marketing & Personal Care, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles said, “Tigor is a very important product for us. With the addition of iCNG variants, the speed increased further. Currently, 75 percent of Tigor bookings come for the iCNG variant. I am confident that the addition of this new product will expand the company in this category and in the CNG space.”
