New Delhi: Tata Motors: Tata Motors has sold more than 10 thousand units of its cheapest electric car Tiago EV in the last four months. Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Sales and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said that Tiago has become a fast adopting electric car for customers.
Helping to accelerate EV adoption
Vivek Srivatsa further said that this car is helping to accelerate EV adoption. We are very happy to see our vision coming true. Till now 10 thousand families have adopted it. Let us tell you that Tata EV was introduced in September 2022. Its deliveries have started earlier this year.
Bookings
Recently, the company took 10 thousand bookings of Tiago EV in 24 hours. It is available in the market for an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh. It gets four trims. This is a hatchback car which is fully charged in about six hours with a 15A socket charger.
Full charge
This car gets fully charged in 57 minutes with DC fast charger. The Tata Tiago EV has a boot space of 240 litres. The EV has a 19.2 kWh battery. Once fully charged, it runs up to 250 km. It gives power of 60.34 to 73.75 Bhp. It has been given automatic transmission.
Safety
For safety, it gets dual front airbags, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with EBD and a rear-view camera. It gets a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a four-speaker Harman sound system with four tweeters and auto AC. It also gets rain-sensing wipers, steering mounted controls and cruise control.
