New Delhi: Tata Motors launched the electric version of its entry-level hatchback car Tiago last year. The starting ex-showroom price of this car has been kept at Rs 8.49 lakh. More than 20,000 bookings have been done for this car so far. The company has started delivering this car to the customers from 3 February 2023.

So much booking done

Tata opened the bookings for the new Tiago EV last year, and has already received around 10,000 bookings on the very first day. Tata had earlier kept the introductory prices of the car valid only for the first 10,000 bookings. But later it has been increased to 20,000 customers. Tata Motors has already delivered 2,000 units of the car.

How is the Tata Tiago EV’s battery and range?

To give power in Tata Tiago EV, there is an option of 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery pack, which produce power of 60 bhp and 74 bhp respectively. These battery packs offer a range of 250 km and 315 km per charge respectively. It takes about 8.7 hours to fully charge its battery, but it can be charged in just one hour with a fast charger.

What is the price of Tata Tiago EV?

The ex-showroom price of Tata Tiago EV in India ranges between Rs. 8.49 lakh to Rs. 11.49 lakh. This car will compete with the upcoming Citroën EC3 in the market, which is claimed to have a range of 350 kilometers per charge.

The Citroen eC3 gets a single electric motor, which is capable of generating 57 hp of power and 143 Nm of torque. This electric car can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 6.8 seconds and while talking about its top speed, it is 107 kmph. It will see a 29.2 kWh battery pack, with which a standard 3.3 kW on-board AC charger has been given and it takes 10.5 hours to charge up to 10-100 percent. Also, it can be charged from 10 to 80 percent with a DC charger in 57 minutes.
