Tata Tiago EV price hike: Last year, Tata Motors launched the Tata Tiago EV as its cheapest electric car. At the time of launch, its starting price was kept at Rs 8.49 lakh. However, the company also announced that this is an introductory price that will only be available to the first 20,000 customers. The vehicle was well received by customers and more than 20,000 bookings were received within no time. Now, as promised, the company has changed the price of this car.

The company has increased its price by ₹20,000. After that, the new starting price of Tata Tiago EV became Rs. 8.69 crores. While the price of the top variant has increased from Rs 11.79 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh. The Tata Tiago EV comes in a total of 8 trims according to different battery packs and charging options. Battery and range

The Tata Tiago EV has two battery options – 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. While the smaller one with a 19.2 kWh battery provides a range of 250 km per charge. At the same time, the 24kWh battery claims to travel up to 315 km on a single charge. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

Charging time

A total of 4 charging options have been given in this. It can be charged to 10-100% in 3.6 hours using a 7.2kW charger. While it charges from 10 to 100% in 8.7 hours using a 15A portable charger. Similarly, a DC fast charger can charge from 10 to 100% in just 58 minutes. It gets a 7-inch infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, cruise control, a cooled glovebox, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, steering wheel controls and an 8-speaker Harmon music system.
