Tata Motors has made a venerable space in the Indian auto market with their offerings such as the Tata Tiago, Nexon, Harriers as well as the Safari. But to keep their place in the market, ready for competition Tata has decided to give some of the most affordable cars in their line up a major facelift. As per the news the facelift is due for 2025 and would provide the affordable vehicles in the line up with a new façade to compete with the new entrants in the market.
A investor presentation showcased substantial proof for a cosmetic upgrade planned for Tata Tiago as well as the Tigor. As of yet the Tata Tiago is priced at around 5-8.7 lakh Rs while the Tigor falls in the price bracket of 6-9.4 Lakh Rs. Whether the prices would be changed with cosmetic changes or not is still unclear.
Both the Tiago as well as the Tigor have been due for update for quite some time receiving their last update in the 2020 January. Over the time new competitors such as the new Swift, Swift Dezire as well as the New Honda Amaze and their new designs have made the Tiago and Tigor’s dated looks become a major drawback .
Tata Tiago and Tigor The facelift
As per the new images that have been doing rounds over the internet, both the cars would receive new changes around the front fascia with new headlamp, DRL designs and fog lamps. As per the leaks the car would receive updated upholstery and the interior would go through further changes as well.
The facelift would help both the vehicles in the Tata line up get more competent against the competition and provide users with a even better amalgam of looks and performance. This face lift can help the both the cars receive their due and sell in even higher numbers.
Safety Features.
Tata cars are known for their safety and continuing along the same tradition its possible that Tata might bring in the vehicle with Level 2 ADAS safety features. This step would further future proof the vehicles making them even more safer in the segment. Its possible that Tata might equip Tigor as well as the Tiago with front collision warning systems as well as Front collision avoidance systems as well. Similar features have been seen in the recent KIA Syros as well.
Performance
Both the vehicles are powered by a three cylinder 1199 cc engine that produces about 84 BHP with a peak torque figure of around 113nm@ 3300 rpm. As of yet there has not been any news of Tata bringing any changes to the power mill of both of the vehicles.
