The Tata Sierra has been one of the most highly anticipated SUV vehicles from Tata. The Tata Sierra moniker is being revived after years and the nostalgia of a previously renowned moniker being revived has led the market into a frenzy. While the new version of the car has been spotted a few times at the auto expo, the new design of the vehicle has been in contention for a few months. The design patent by Tata had already been patented around November as per reports by Auto Car Professional.
Final Design
The final design showcases the Sierra to be a Four Door SUV vehicle which has quite a resemblance with that of a Range Rover Evoque devoid of a slanting roof line. The slanting in roof line is often despised by manufacturers as it reduces the head room for the rear passengers.
New Design features a completely new front fascia as well as thicker A and B pillars for over all safety. Including a vast greenroom like that of the Sierra in a new model that has to conform to the safety regulations would have been a massive challenge for the engineers but Tata seems to have managed it pretty well.
Safety Features

As per the new leaks it has become apparent that the new car would be launched with a host of new safety features along with possible level 2 ADAS safety features as well. The car could be equipped with a panoramic sunroof with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a large 12.3-inch Touchscreen infotainment as well. Considering the safety results of the previous models from Tata, the aim would be to reach the highest safety ratings score for adult passengers.
Tata Sierra Power Options
The power options of the new car Could include a 1.5 Litre turbo Petrol GDI engine. Tata might also offer a EV version of the vehicle soon, but as of yet, only the ICE model has been seen testing in recent years. For the EV version, the powertrain could be carried over from a Harrier EV which is set for a launch soon as well.
