Tata has been in the pursuit of launching new vehicles in their line up. Tata would soon launch a facelift for the Tata Punch. Beyond that the brand is also in the talks of launching a new EV version of the Harrier as well as a New Tata Sierra, here are all the details.
Tata Harrier EV
The New harrier has been spotted while testing a several times. The car would compete against the likes of the Creta EV as well as the Mahindra XE9e. The vehicle has been spotted testing by many enthusiasts and as per the vista’s it has been established- That the vehicle might have a dual motor setup, individual motors would power both the axels. The vehicle would also have a upgraded terrain response mode for better off-Roading Capabilities. The car would also have different modes for different terrains, this would allow the vehicle to have a better driving ability over bad roads and different kind of terrains.
Tata Punch Facelift
Tata Punch has been a venerable part of the Tata clan, the car has showcased high sales number and has been selling in high numbers. But to upkeep with the competition Tata might soon give their Punch with a new facelift. The car was spotted testing several times Its possible that the new facelift might make the punch appear more like the EV version. Tata might give the car new connected LED DRL’s, with vertically stacked headlamps and new bumpers as well.
The car would also have a digital instrument cluster and a updated feature list and minor tweaks. The vehicle might be launched with new safety features such as 360 degree parking Camera, wireless charging and more. The car would soon be powered by the same 1.2 litre petrol engine under the Bonnet.
Tata Sierra EV
Sierra is a name etched in history, it was one of the first vehicles that Tata started mass producing in India. Tata has been in the talks of reimagining and bringing a newer variant of the Sierra for a long time. But now it seems that the brand would launch a EV version of the vehicle first than a ICE variant as well. The powertrain as well as the battery pack of the vehicle are still to be disclosed, no information has been released about them as of yet. Its possible that the vehicle might have the same powertrain as that of the Harrier EV.
As per the rendering of the vehicle it has been established that it would still have the iconic design cues of the original Tata Sierra. It would have a large glass area at the back as the older sierra did.
Powertrain Options
The New Sierra EV is expected to be launched with a All Wheel Drive variant of the vehicle and a Rear Wheel Drive variant. While the battery specifications remains to be undisclosed the vehicle is being expected to have a driving range of around 500 km.
New Features
Tata offers the highest no-of new features of any manufacturer spread across different variants, similar would be the case with the new Sierra EV. Its possible that the new EV would be launched with a panoramic sunroof, Ventilated Seats, and Dual Zone Climate control. Beyond that its also possible that the vehicle might have a level 2 ADAS features and suite for a infotainment setup.
