Tata and Hyundai have seemingly taken the new Emission norms by horns ad both of them have showcased their new EV’s and Flex fuel models. Beyond other models Tata has also showcased their new flex fuel version of Tata Punch. With the new norms being about to be stipulated for all manufacturers producing ICE engines Manufacturers have showcased their readiness for the new norms with their Flex Fuel engines as well as EV’s.
The Major Highlight Of The Showcased New Creations
Rather than bringing up a new iteration of a flex fuel running engine Tata has adapted their tried and tested 1.2 Litre petrol engine to run on Ethanol Blends. The engine was capable of producing 86 bhp and 115 nm of torque. The Engine can run on E100 blends making the vehicle more fuel efficient and eco friendly. The car is offered with a manual as well as automatic version in the petrol variant and beyond that would these transmission’s be offered on the new flex fule pun or not is still a mystery.
Other Changes
Would The The flex fuel variant would have the same features inside or not is still a mystery. Quite possibly the only difference in-between the flex fuel version and the normal variant would be the engine. Beyond that the car would have the same 10.25 inch touchscreen , two spoke steering wheel, and more. As pf yet the Punch is being sold of as a petrol, CNG as well as a EV variant.
Other launches By Tata
Beyond the Punch Flex Fuel Version Tata has also revealed other vehicles that they plan to bring in their line up. The other models in their line up would include Tata Harrier EV, Sierra ICE and possibly with a bit more time the new Avinya Model X. While the brand has showcased the Flex fuel variant they have not shared any details about the launch of the new Vehicle.
Beyond Tata
Beyond Tata Hyundai has also showcased a new Flex Fuel version of the Hyundai Creta. As per them the car would soon be launched and would be able to run on the flex fuels. The Flex fuel version of Creta would have a different 1000cc engine that the one found in the petrol powered vehicle. The New Tata Punch Flex Fuel could Possibly be priced between 7 to 9 lakh Rs.
