Punch CNG: Tata Motors has finally unveiled the CNG model of its SUV ‘Punch’. The Company has introduced it with starting price of Rs 7.10 lakh. Its top variant can be purchased at Rs 9.68 lakh only.
The Punch CNG is available in three trims which include Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished. It is the fourth model in Tata’s CNG line-up after Tiago, Tigor, and Altroz. Let’s have a look at the prices of all the variants of Tata Punch CNG.
Tata Punch CNG Dimensions & Boot Space
Tata Punch CNG has received a 5-star safety rating on the Global NCAP platform. The Punch CNG gets an electric sunroof, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels. The dimensions of Punch CNG are similar to ICE. It measures 3,827mm in length, 1,742mm in width, and 1,615mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,445mm. Its ground clearance is 187mm.
Like the Altroz CNG, the Punch CNG also gets two 30-litre CNG cylinders. Which saves boot space. These twin cylinders are fixed under the luggage carpet below the real floor. The spare tire is located below the boot space, which gives it 150 liters of boot space.
Engine and Mileage of Tata Punch CNG
The Tata Punch CNG gets a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which comes with Dyna-Pro technology. Its power is 77 HP and torque is 97 Nm, thus it is about 13 HP and 18 Nm less than the petrol engine. Its engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Punch CNG will give a mileage of more than 25 km/kg. Tata Punch CNG will be underpinned by models like the Hyundai Xeter CNG as well as the Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG.
