In a recent event, Tata had showcased the effective capabilities of their new Harrier EV, the vehicle was seen performing all kinds of twists and turns in a group formation of Harrier EV’s to churn out a spectacle that mesmerized the audience members. The showcase was conducted on Tata’s test track inside the factory premises. The EVs were seen driving over a ramp before turning out to a circular track and a slalom course.
As per a slew of leaks that have been leaked online it has become apparent that the Harrier would be launched with a dual motor setup. The rear axle would have a priority motor that would power the rear wheels and give the car its 4×4 WD Prowess. The car is expected to be by a 75 KWH battery that would offer a range of about 500Km.
Upon its launch, the car would go against the likes of Hyundai Creta Electric, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. While the Grand Vitara has a rear wheel drive module in select trim levels the Hyundai Creta does not have any, all-wheel drive option. As per an older leak that was reported by Auto bhp the car would have a 75KWH battery pack and the AWD capabilities would be given to only the empowered trim variant.
