In a recent Event, Tata Motors showcased their new production-ready Harrier EV. The Whole Showcase that the company had arranged showcased the prowess of the vehicle and how it could easily trail and ride up inclines with ease. The Harrier EV was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo.
Tata motors were one of the first manufacturers to spearhead the introduction of easily affordable EV’s in the guise of Tata Tiago as well as Tigor. Such affordable vehicles allowed the easy proliferation of EV vehicles in the Indian Market.
As per recent reports Tata’s overall aim has been to provide the Indian market with comprehensive infrastructure that can support the EV revolution. Rather than just introducing new vehicles the company aims towards an overall genesis that can lead to an instrumental step in the shift to EV vehicles.
Tata’s Nexon EV Has been one of the highest selling EV SUVs in the market. Its impressive range as well as the performance are the prime features that make it the go-to choice for many. Beyond that the Tata Tigor EV has become the primary choice for many fleet operators for commercial use. While the new Harrier EV looks quite similar to that of the ICE version of the Harrier the vehicle has added features such as a closed-off grill along with newly designed alloy wheels.
Interior And Features
The interior layout of the vehicle remains the same as that of the standard Harrier, but the Color scheme is different to that of the normal ICE model. The car would have a Four-Spoke steering wheel, with a digital instrument cluster that has been optimized as per the EV’s usage. Some of the key features of the EV would be a 12.3-inch screen along with a panoramic sunroof, Dual Zone Climate Control and ventilated seats from the front, and a powered tailgate as well.
Here’s What’s Missing
Tata has been rather quiet about the powertrain of the vehicle. The specifications are yet to be revealed, but it does seem that the car would have a dual motor setup. As per previous leaks its possible that only a few of the variants get the dual motor setup. The prices of the Tata Harrier EV has not been confirmed yet but the prices are expected to be around Rs 30 Lakh.
