In a recent new update, the Tata Harrier EV has been homologated and patented meaning its possible launch in the upcoming few weeks. As per the exterior images we could witness the dimensions of the vehicle to be quite similar to that of the normal Harrier Vehicle. The design of the new car does not seem to be much different than that of the usual Harrier.
Side profile of the car is quite similar to the normal Harrier as well. The Patent details does not disclose any details about the possible powertrain of the car. What kind of a AWD system the car would get is still a mystery.
As per the leaks that have been circulating over the internet the EV would have multi-link suspension at the rear along with a torsion beam support. Such a suspension setup would be updated to ensure that it can easily carry the added weight of the battery pack with ease while providing the vehicle with optimum suspension travel.
There have been rumors about the possible range of the vehicle being 500km. The car would have AWD format as well.

Harrier EV would go against the likes of Hyundai Creta Electric, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. While the Grand Vitara has a rear wheel drive module in select trim levels the Hyundai Creta does not have any, all-wheel drive option. As per an older leak that was reported by Auto bhp the car would have a 75KWH battery pack and the AWD capabilities would be given to only the empowered trim variant. Beyond the other additions the car would also get a 12.3 inch free standing screen along with ADAS level 2 assisted safety level features.
