New Delhi: The country’s automaker Tata Motors launched the 50,000th unit of the Nexon EV from its manufacturing plant located in Pune, Maharashtra. This EV of the company has been delivered to Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran, whose information has been shared with his social media account.
Tata Motors first entered the electric mobility segment with this vehicle. People are liking Nexon EV a lot, seeing which the company has also brought Tiago EV and Tigor EV in the market.
Tata Nexon EV
The Tata Nexon EV Prime gets power from a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which along with an electric motor generates 127hp power and 245Nm torque. The Tata Nexon EV Max, on the other hand, gets a 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which produces 141hp power and 250Nm torque. Talking about the range, the Nexon EV Prime can run up to 312 km on a single charge. While the range of Nexon EV Max is 437 km per charge. The Tata Nexon EV Prime is priced between ₹14.99 lakh to ₹17.50 lakh in India, while the Tata Nexon EV Max is priced between ₹18.34 lakh to ₹20.04 lakh, ex-showroom.
Tata Tigor EV
The ex-showroom price of Tigor EV in the country ranges between Rs. 12.49 lakh to Rs. 13.75 lakh. The Tigor EV gets a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which together with an electric motor generates 74.7 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. This car gets a range of 315 km per charge.
Tata Motors has recently launched the Tiago EV in India, which is priced between Rs. 8.49 lakh to Rs. 11.79 lakh, ex-showroom. It gets a 19.2 kW and 24 kW battery pack, which is capable of giving a range of 250 km and 315 km respectively. The company is also preparing to launch Tata Punch EV and Ultroz EV soon.
Nexon EV competes with MG ZS EV
The MG ZS EV gets a 50.3kWh battery pack, which produces 176.75 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque when connected to an electric motor. It has a range of 461 km. The ex-showroom price of this car is ₹ 22.56 lakh to ₹ 26.50 lakh.
