New Delhi: Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, two popular SUVs present in the domestic market, can be seen with new changes in the coming months. While Hyundai may introduce its Creta as early as 2024, Kia may launch its Selto by the end of this year. Currently, these cars remain at the top of their segment, but to compete with them, Honda, Tata and Mahindra will also soon introduce their cars in this segment.
New Honda SUV
Honda has already announced the launch of a mid-size SUV this year. It will be built on the same platform as the 5th generation city. The company will sell its car only in selected countries globally. The new mid-size SUV will be powered by a 1.5-litre iVTEC City 4-cylinder petrol engine. At the same time, according to the information, a new 1.0L turbo petrol engine can also be put into it. In addition, it also features a 1.5L gasoline+e:HEV turbo petrol engine. It will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in India.
Tata Curvv
Tata Motors may also launch its production version of the Curvv SUV Coupe in 2024. The company will build this car on a modified ALFA Generation 2 platform. The car will be offered with both an ICE and an electric drive. It will be powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with injection (TGDi). Which will be able to give a maximum power of 125PS and a torque of 225NM. It can be offered with a 6-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic transmission. At the same time, it will get a 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine with the Nexon. If we are talking about its electric variant, then it can be fitted with a 40kWh battery, the range of which can be around 400 km.

New Renault Duster SUV
Renault has announced the launch of its next generation Duster SUV by 2024-25 and it has also been spotted several times testing outside the country. The third generation Duster will be built on the CMF-B platform with superstructures from Renault and Nissan. Another new SUV is in the works to build on the Safari and XUV700 on the same platform. The new Duster will be launched with petrol and hybrid engines. Which may be added to the EV lineup later, as well as being offered with all-wheel drive.

New Mahindra XUV500
Mahindra is all set to bring back its all-new mid-size SUV, dubbed the XUV500. The company will keep its cars in this segment under the XUV700. Cars that compete with it include mid-segment vehicles like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara. At the same time, its new model will be based on the XUV300 platform and will come with a front wheel setup that can be offered with 1.5L turbo petrol and turbo diesel engines.
