Suzuki's new affordable Ev Revealed

Suzuki is all set to launch new EV vehicles in the Indian Market. While the Brand had promised the launch of new E-Vitara at the Bharat Mobility Expo, now there seems to be a second launch that would follow the E- Vitara launch soon. While Suzuki has not yet revealed the specs, here are the specs of the international variant that could be similar to the domestic variant.

The Suzuki E-Vitara is set for a all India debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo. But the European spec of the car has been revealed in the international market. The car has various formidable features that could be a segment first in India. Here are a few of them. These have not been revealed yet in the domestic market and there is a high possibility that Suzuki might change a few of them before launch. But Battery and Motor capacities might remain the same.

New Specs

As per the revealed chart the car would be made available with two battery packs a 49 KWH option as well as a 61 KWH option . The 49 KWH option would only be available with a 2wd version while the 61 KWH version would also have a 4WD version. The 49KWH 2Wd version would be powered by a motor with 106 KW output. Beyond that the 61 KWH battery pack would be made available with a 2wd as well as a 4wd version. The 2 WD version would be powered by a 128KW output motor, while the 4wd version would have a 128 KW as well as a 48 KW motor working in Tandem- The total output of the 4WD version would be 135kW. The maximum Torque of the 2WD version with both the battery packs would be around 189 nm, while the 4wd version would have a max torque of 300nm.

Suzuki Vitara’s Other Revealed Specs

Some of the other revealed specs of the European Version are- As per these revelations the new E -Vitara Would have a Single Speed Electric Drive, and for the ultimate stopping power the vehicle would have ventilated discs up front as well as the rear. The tires that are being provided with the European version are 225/55R18 with the 2wd version and 225/55R18,225/50R19 with the 4wd version as well a the 2wd 61 kwh version.

The Affordable EV Suzuki Has Been Working On

As per Recent news reports Suzuki Seems to be working on a new affordable EV platform that has been named the Y2V platform. As per the details the car would be manufactured and produced in India. Suzuki has high expectations from the new product and expect that the new car would reach a volume of around 2.5 lakh units. Suzuki had showcased several concepts earlier and one of them that stood out was the eWx concept. The concept would mark the genesis of the new affordable EV by Suzuki as the car would be based on the concept.

As of yet its being speculated that the Y2V would be fitted with a 35 KWH battery pack. The battery pack is a lot smaller than the E Vitara and would offer a driving range if around 230 km per charge. Competitors such as the Tata Tiago offer 19.2 KWH and 24 KWH units. The car could be similar to that of the Mg comet which has a 17.3 KWH battery pack and delivers a range of about 230 km. For city dwellers such vehicles could be the best possible choice for the daily run about.
