New Delhi: While India waits for the Jimny, Suzuki has launched the Jimny Sierra 4-Sport in the Latin American market. This more off-road oriented version of the Jimny will carry the same power unit and will be limited to just 100 units. To achieve this, the rugged SUV has all-terrain tires and a snorkel that improves its wading to 600mm.

Suzuki Jimny Sierra 4Sport: Design

The Suzuki Jimny Sierra 4Sport gets a matte black rock slider that protects the body from dents and also acts as a side step. It also gets a black roof with rack and four tow hooks – two in the front and two in the back.

Thanks to the new skid plates, the 4Sport’s approach and departure angles have been reduced from 37 degrees to 31 degrees and 49 degrees to 40 degrees, respectively.

 

The data is compared to the standard model. In addition, this limited edition also features new Pirelli MTR all-terrain tires, 15-inch alloy wheels, new side moldings and black 4Sport badging on the doors.

Inside, the Suzuki Jimny Sierra 4Sport gets AC vents and a gear lever surrounded by blue accents compared to the standard model. It also gets new seats with blue stitching and accents along with 4Sport embossing on the front seats. A 4Sport badging on the passenger side dashboard.

Suzuki Jimny launch in India?

The 4Sport is unlikely to make it to India, Suzuki is preparing a 5-door version of the Jimny for our home market. It is likely to make its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo.

For India, the Suzuki Jimny will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. It will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
