The E- Vitara would become the first fully electric vehicle from Suzuki, the SUV was first unveiled last month and has been spotted in different parts of India being tested and reviewed before it official launch. As of now Suzuki has been focusing on showcasing their new entrant and its prowess with its new AWD system in action.
A new video has been launched by the brand on their official a page showcasing the ease with which the E-Vitara has been able to tackle the snow with its modern AWD system. The video has been shot at the Suzuki Testing facility in Hokkaido Japan. Hokkaido witnesses quite fierce winters, hence testing a EV-SUV there not only showcases the vehicles off road Capabilities but also the ability of the battery to function in such cold winters as EV’s often loose charge in extreme winters.
E-Vitara Design
The design of the vehicle is similar to the concept launched earlier in the year. The car has the same design with LED headlamps and a gloss black front grille.
As per the information available as of yet the E – Vitara would be offered with two battery packs , one being the 49KWH unit generating 144 BHP with a peak torque figure of about 189 Nm with a single motor. The other variant of the vehicle would have a 61 KWH battery pack with a dual motor setup that would allow the vehicle with better acceleration and driving abilities.
E- Vitara Performance Specs
The 61 KWH battery would generate 174 BHP in the single motor setup and about 184 BHP and a peak torque figure of about 300 Nm in the dual motor configuration. The dual motor setup would be brought to the market by the name of Suzuki’s All Grip-e. This would allow the system to have a trail mode, that would help the vehicle tremendously while driving off road.
E-Vitara Variants
The E – Vitara is also supposed to come in another variant with a larger battery helping it achieve a 500 km range. As per the information available right now the vehicle would supposedly be priced around 20 lakhs for the smaller battery pack version. But for the 61 kwh battery versions the price would be north of 25 lakhs after the launch. The vehicle is set to have features such as Apple Car Play, ADAS, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and a fully digital infotainment cluster.
