KIA Syros is one of the most highly anticipated cars whose bookings are about to start in January 2025. The KIA Syros has a unorthodox design language that is unlike any other vehicle in the KIA Line up. Syros is based on KIA’s k1 platform that has been seen on other vehicles such as the Hyundai Santro, Grand i10 Nios and the Hyundai Aura.
The car has several new features that even the top of the line Sonet and Seltos does not offer. Here is a list of all of them.
Flush Door Handles
The Door handles of the KIA Syros sit flush with the exterior of the vehicle, this is a first on a affordable SUV and would surely be a welcome feature. Before this such features were only seen on XUV 700 in the Indian market and on much more expensive Aston Martin’s. Even The models higher up such as the new Seltos top model do not get such features. Similar design cues and door handles have been witnessed in Tata Curvv as well as the Curvv EV.
A Trinity Display ( Infotainment System)
Inside the KIA Syros you would be able to witness a 30 inch Trinity Display, this would be the first rendition of a three screen setup in a affordable Compact SUV. The whole arrangement has two 12.3 inch displays along with a 5 inch touch screen display for Climate Control. No other vehicle in the KIA line up has a similar screen setup even on the top of the line variants.
Premium Key
KIA has changed the key for Syros and the owners would get a premium key that is similar to the key that is available with the Top of the line KIA Carnival. The new key has a new shape and has a light weight. The brand is trying to provide the vehicle with a more premium feel and the key according to them is an integral part of the whole experience. No other model of the Seltos or the Sonet gets such a key.
Rear Ventilated Seats
This feature is a segment first, and KIA Syros is the only vehicle that gets ventilated rear seats unlike any other car in the KIA line up. How useful the feature might be is still a question as the ventilation is only for the under thigh area and not for the rear back support.
Rear Sliding and Reclining Seats
The top spec trim of the KIA Syros would be equipped with sliding and reclining seats as well. This would allow the rear passengers to relax and have a good experience. If that’s not all the rear seat floor slides back and forth as well.
Flexible Boot
Thanks to a sliding floor the users would be able to easily slide back the rear seats to free up more space in the boot. This feature would allow the users with the ability to slide the rear seats to increase the luggage capacity of the vehicle from 390L to 465L. No other vehicle in the KIA lineup has any similar features.
Turbo Petrol Manual
For the first time ever KIA is offering their Turbo Petrol engine with a manual transmission. The Seltos still gets a normal NA petrol engine with only manual gearbox only. These are a few features that make the Syros even more special for India.
