New Delhi: Skoda has released official sketches of its upcoming 7S 7S three-row electric SUV concept ahead of its August 30 debut. The sketches released by the brand show its new Modern Solid design language, a radical departure from the style of its existing models. such as the Škoda Enyaq iV.

Skoda Vision 7S concept: a robust design is expected
The front fascia of the upcoming Skoda 7S concept appears to be more robust than that of the Enyaq, thanks to a large slotted skid that transitions into trim around the wheel arches and side sills. The slots are split in half by a central orange segment with white “Modern Solid” text.
Above the cover plate are T-shaped headlights divided into two angular bulbs and daytime running lights reminiscent of eyebrows. These meet the hood closing line and the color-contrasting grille area, which is much smaller than the Enyaq. A reversing camera replaces the traditional exterior mirror on the driver’s side, but is omitted entirely on the opposite side.
The Vision 7S revolves around a curved beltline that flows into a sharp rear with the same T-shaped lighting motif as the front – with stacked square segments giving it a distinct Range-Rover feel. The rear spoiler gives the car a sportier look, although – should the 7S concept eventually bring a production car – it could be reserved for the top-of-the-range vRS versions.
Sculpted low profile wheels sit at each corner and appear to be an evolution of the ‘Regulus’ design that is standard on the Enyaq.

Skoda Vision 7S concept: spacious interior, unique seating arrangement
The previously released renderings of the Czech brand show a spacious interior with a wrap-around design and space for up to six adults. An interesting fact is that the child seat has been integrated into the center console – which, according to Skoda, is the safest place in the vehicle.
For the driver, a thin and wide steering wheel design was introduced along with a tall, floating infotainment screen, which was also positioned vertically – a first for a Skoda brand. The Czech manufacturer said it emphasized haptic controls that appear on the steering wheel, door panels and below the vertical screen.
There is also ambient lighting that is activated when people get in and out of the car. It also serves to indicate the charging status of the EV.
The second- and third-row seatbacks feature holders for multimedia devices and benefit from integrated backpacks.
The interior of the concept offers two different configurations. The driving configuration is designed to emphasize the most ideal driving position available, with detailed information displayed on the central infotainment system that rotates vertically.
Relaxation mode is available when charging or stopping for a rest. It moves the steering wheel and instrument cluster towards the driver and moves the first and second row seats back for a relaxed driving position.
Expect more details on the Vision 7S concept to be announced on August 30, when it makes its first public appearance. Closer to home, Skoda has started testing the Enyaq iV EV in India. Read more about it here.
