Skoda Octavia RS Bookings Begin – Check Specs, Features, and Safety Features

Skoda has officially opened bookings for the all-new Octavia RS (vRS) at a token amount of Rs 2.5 lakh, ahead of its much-anticipated launch. The RS is poised to be one of the most powerful and performance-oriented sedans currently available in India.

Design and Interiors

On the outside, the RS carries Skoda’s signature sporty DNA. The Euro-spec version features a black grille, black tailgate lettering, sporty bumpers, and a rear spoiler. Its bold appearance is further enhanced by 19-inch alloy wheels, full LED matrix headlamps, and animated LED rear indicators. The Octavia RS will be available in five colors: Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black, and Velvet Red.

Inside, the RS comes loaded with a 32.7 cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Canton 11-speaker sound system with subwoofer, a 26 cm virtual cockpit, head-up display, and wireless phone charging. Additionally, it offers five USB-C ports, including one integrated into the rear-view mirror for dashcam connectivity.

Safety and Performance

The new Octavia RS is expected to be equipped with 10 airbags, a 360-degree camera, intelligent park assist, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and blind-spot detection. Other convenience and safety features include keyless entry, an electric tailgate with virtual pedal, and ISOFIX mounts on both the front passenger seat and the rear seats.

At the heart of the Octavia RS is a 2.0-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine producing 265 PS of power and 370 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission powering the front wheels. The sedan can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.

For an engaging driving experience, the car also features progressive steering, sports suspension, and a sports exhaust system.
