Skoda Kylaq Debut: Skoda’s sub 4m SUV, the Kylaq, is set to make global debut next month. The Kylaq will slot below the Kushaq in India. In India the Kylaq comes under Skoda’s ‘India 2.5’ strategy. Kylaq will be the automaker’s debut in the compact SUV segment. Skoda Kylaq to make its global debut on November 6, 2024.

This subcompact SUV will reportedly be available in Indian market from the early 2025. Skoda hasn’t yet unveiled the full design of the car, but here it is what to expect:-
Skoda Kylaq Debut: What To Expect?
- Kylaq will be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the third product of the company on this platform.
- Kylaq will have design similarities with the Kushaq. The car will feature split LED lighting setup and sleek LED tail lights.
- The Car will ride on sporty 17-inch black alloy wheels.
- The exterior design of the Kylaq is modern and muscular.
- The car will feature iconic Skoda grille.
- Kylaq will feature a Kushaq-inspired cabin with Skoda’s 2-spoke steering wheel, 10.1-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, and sunroof.
Kylaq’s safety features will include 6 airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking camera, and rear parking sensors. - The Kylaq will also get Brake Disc Wiping, Electronic Differential Lock, Passenger Airbag Deactivation, Multi-Collision Braking, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
- Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. Kylaq will deliver 114 hp and 178 Nm of torque.
Competitors & Prices
The Kylaq will compete Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV3XO, Nissan Magnite, and Kia Sonet among others.
According to several media reports, The company will price Kylaq’s base model at Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
