New Delhi: Skoda has launched a special edition of its mid-size SUV Kushaq in India. It has been named Onyx Edition. This variant has been placed between the Active and Ambition Classic trims by the company. Although its price is 80 thousand rupees more than its base trim Active. The company has kept the ex-showroom price of this new special edition at Rs 12.39 lakh.
Design
The new Onyx edition of the Kushaq gets the signature front grille with chrome surround, a new faux diffuser element, 16-inch steel wheels, bold body graphics on the doors and ‘Onyx’ badging on the B-pillars, LED projector headlamps, fog lamps, wheel covers Also available are roof rails, rear washer, wiper and rear defogger.
What’s new?
The new Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition gets Onyx Design perforated leatherette seats with fabric inserts and Onyx inscribed front scuff plates. Also, it gets Climatronic auto AC with control touch panel and air care function.
Features
Talking about the features of this car, it has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, remote locking system, brake disc wiping, steering mounted controls, rear AC vents, electronic differential lock system, Features like ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat mounts, electronic stability control stability, rear parking sensors and multiple airbags are available.

Engine
The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition gets a 1.0L, 3-cylinder TSI petrol engine, paired with either a manual or automatic gearbox. This engine produces 115bhp power and 175Nm torque. Also, this SUV also has the option of a 1.5L, 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine, which is capable of generating 150bhp power and 250Nm torque. The entry-level Active trim gets a 1.0L TSI engine. While the top-end Style trim gets the option of both the engines. It gets the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic and 7-speed DSG transmission with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
