New Delhi: Skoda is about to bring its first electric car for the Indian market. Its name will be Enyaq iV. The company has brought it in India a few months back for testing. This electric crossover is being built on Volkswagen’s MEB Born Electric, whose battery system is used on larger electric vehicles.
This electric car will get the option of single motor with rear wheel drive (RWD) and dual motor with all wheel drive. The same architecture is also found in Volkswagen’s ID4.
Skoda Enyaq iV size and design
The Enyaq iV EV will be 4648 mm long, 1877 mm wide and 1618 mm high. Also, it will get a wheelbase of 2765 mm. This means that this electric car will be smaller than the Skoda Kodiaq. At the front, the car will get Skoda’s signature grille with 131 LEDs, full LED matrix headlights, cameras in the windscreen, LED taillamps and 19-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the EV will get 13-inch touchscreen infotainment, digital instrument console, smartphone connectivity, leather-wrapped steering, leather and microfibre seats, AC and ambient lighting. Apart from this, the car can be controlled with the help of the My Skoda app.

According to the reports, the Skoda EV spotted in India gets a 77 kWh battery pack and all wheel drive setup with dual motors. It has been claimed that this setup can give a range of up to 513 km. Accordingly, it will be one of the most range giving cars in India. This electric car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 6.9 seconds.
