Scooter manufacturers in India as of now stand at a difference of only 453,181 units in March to surpass the segment’s best over overall sales of around 6.71 million units ever since FY2018. India’s Scooter sector registered its best sales in Financial year 2018 – 67,19, 909 units, the difference between the ball park figure and the sales that have been recorded in the last 11 months has only been about 453,180 units. Scooter manufacturers would be able to step past that number soon with the overall favorable circumstances in the market.
A gander at the numbers further revealed that over the last 11 months, the sales crossed 500,000 units seven times, 600,000 units twice and 700,000 units once. The lowest sales were recorded in December this financial year. These amounted to 418,665 units only. Suzuki Motorcycle India
Suzuki has been able to sell 920,443 scooters in the past 11 months. The brand has been able to showcase a year on year sales growth of around 14% YOY. Beyond Suzuki Hero Moto Corp has showcased a 5% YOY sales Decline. Yamaha registered a sales number of 286,659 units showcasing a growth of 13% maintaining its 5% share in the market. Beyond these Ather has been able to maintain its 2% market share.
