Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Safety Rating
While the five-door Jimny is yet to undergo testing by any agency, the three-door variant available in various global markets has been assessed by Euro NCAP, ANCAP, and JNCAP. In the 2018 Euro NCAP crash test, the Suzuki Jimny secured a three-star rating, scoring 83% for adult safety and 84% for child safety. However, it was criticized for lacking advanced safety features like autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring. The vehicle also received criticism for its weak body frame and poor pedestrian protection. The Jimny obtained a three-star rating in the ANCAP crash test and a four-star rating in the JNCAP crash test. Nonetheless, the Indian-made Maruti Suzuki Jimny is yet to undergo safety testing.
