Royal Enfield has finally brought the 650 cc parallel-twin engine to the Widely selling Classic, the bike is the successor to the classic 500. The new 650cc bike could be the go-to choice for many who seek a highway tourer with added capabilities of a more powerful engine. Royal Enfield has divided the variants into Hot Rod , Classic and Chrome.
The bike would be placed above the Interceptor 650 and the continental Gt 650 and below the cruiser range, which consists of Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650.
New Bike Details
The classic has a seat height of 800mm beyond that the weight of the bike is around 243 Kg, while the weight would make negligible difference when the bike is in motion but when moving the bike around on foot the users would be able to get a feel of the heft of the bike. The bike would continue to use a semi digital display.
The 648 cc parallel twin air-cooled engine has good lower-end grunt and torque and has been optimized for touring rather than intercity commutes. Users who plan to use the bike for intercity commutes be ready to cajole the hefty bike along with the massive heat that the air-cooled engine would emit on your legs.

Possible Engine Specs
Being powered by the same engine that does duty on the Continental GT and other Royal Enfield bikes the Bike would be powered by a 648cc parallel twin air cooled engine that churns out 47BHP @ 7150 rpm and Max Torque is extracted at 52Nm @ 5250 Rpm. The Classic has been given a slew of new touches that include a Nacelle Headlamp, twin silencers and the orthodox teardrop tank all quite painstakingly similar to the classic 500.
