New Delhi: Royal Enfield has confirmed that it will launch the new RE Super Meteor 650 at EICMA 2022 in Milan, Italy on November 8. The company has released a trailer revealing the debut date and the rear end.

Royal Enfield Meteor 650

The Royal Enfield Meteor 650 will be the brand’s third 650cc model in the country. Rumor has it that the Chennai-based bike maker might showcase its cruiser at Rider Mania 2022 in Goa. The event is scheduled for November 18-20, 2022.

If reports are to be believed, the company has already started training employees for the upcoming new Super Meteor 650. The official launch date and details of the bike are yet to be revealed. However, it is expected to witness a launch in December 2022 or January 2023.

Royal Enfield Meteor 650 Spy Shots

Spy shots confirm that the new 650cc Royal Enfield motorcycle will sport a retro-styled design language with circular headlamps, a large, non-adjustable windscreen and chrome front fascias. The model will come with alloy wheels, a flatter rear fender, a twin-pipe exhaust system, front-mounted footpegs, and round turn signals and taillights. Some of its design bits will be inspired by the Royal Enfield SG650 concept.

The new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will have a semi-digital instrument console with a smaller navigation pad. The unit will have a silver finish. Interestingly, this will be the first RE 650cc bike to come with the optional Tripper Navigation accessory. Its switches, non-adjustable hand levers and front brake master cylinder are likely to be carried over from the Meteor 350.

Engine-wise, the new Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will share its powertrain with the RE 650cc twins.

This means that the bike will use a 648cc parallel twin engine boosted by fuel injection technology. The engine provides a peak power of 47 hp and a torque of 52 Nm. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed gearbox, which will be equipped with a slip and assist clutch.
