Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: All that we know

New Delhi: After countless spy shots and recent teasers, Royal Enfield has finally taken the wraps off its latest middleweight cruiser, the Super Meteor 650. The bike was unveiled at EICMA and here are the top five highlights of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

Similar to its smaller sibling, the Super Meteor 650 also gets a proper cruiser design. It has a low stance with a fairly long sag and plenty of chrome all around. In the pictures, you can see that the bike looks quite clean and has a round headlight, a split seat, a wide fuel tank and an overall retro design.

Engine

The new Royal Enfield bike is powered by a 648cc parallel twin engine that produces 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm. It is the same engine as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Hardware

The engine is housed in a tubular steel frame suspended from USD front forks and twin rear shocks. Yes, the Meteor 650 is the first and only current Royal Enfield bike to get USD forks. Meanwhile, braking hardware includes a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc with ABS. It rides on alloy wheels shod with 100/90 front and 150/80 rear tires.

Variants and features

Royal Enfield will offer the Super Meteor 650 in two trims: standard and tourer. Overall, the bike will be available in seven colors: Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, Interstellar Green, Celestial Red and Celestial Blue.

At the front, Royal Enfield has equipped the bike with LED lighting and an optional Tripper navigation pad.

Launch

With Rider Mania 2022 coming up in a few days, we expect Royal Enfield to bring the bike to India at the same time. The event takes place from November 18 to 20 in Goa.
