After revealing the bike at Motoverse 2024, Royal Enfield has launched the New Scram 411 at the starting price of around Rs2.08 lakh Rs. This would be the price of the Trail variant, which makes it just 1300 rs more expensive than the predecessor 411 scram. Beyond that the expensive variant would cost around 2.15 lakh Rs.
Specification
The bike is powered by a 443 cc air cooled engine that makes about 25.4 Bhp Horsepower @6250 rpm and 34 nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm. Royal Enfield has tuned the engine differently and beyond that given the bike a extra gear that makes it much more apt for being a touring bike. While the normal variant has a 19/17 inch spoked wheels the top variant has alloy wheels. Suspension duties of the bike are handled by a Telescopic Forks and a Monoshock at the rear along with single disc -disc brakes at both the ends.
The styling of the new bike is quite similar to that of the Scram 411, the bike has a round headlight with a small cowl around it as well. Beyond that Royal Enfield has also launched a new colors such as the Force Teal, Fierce Grey, Force Blue and trail blue. The bike further has switchable dual channel ABS with a revised braking system as well.
Scram 411 Older Version Review
The older version has been on sale in Europe as well and hence, it was reviewed by several serious riders that ride adventure tourers. As per the reviews that have been published by Motorcycle news MCN over at their website. The front suspension of the bike folds up under high speed cornering. Beyond that the reviewers complained that the ByBre brakes lacked Bite and brake feel. The rear ABS on the previous version could not be switched off as it could be on the previous version Himalayan.
Beyond that Jon Urry spoke about how the bikes 411 cc older engine was incapable of pulling north of 60 with the same Gusto as that it showcases while reaching 60. Since Europe has better road infrastructure and higher speed limits the rider also spoke about how using the bike above 60 and overtaking was a very difficult task. The new engine that has now been introduced would possibly help the vehicle in getting faster.
