Hitching a ride on the bandwagon that has led most manufacturers to produce dark editions of their vehicles, Royal Enfield has launched its all-new Shadow Ash in the Guerrilla 450. The new colourway was unveiled at the GRRR Nights X Underground event held in Pune, in partnership with Tapaswi Racing.

While the Guerrilla has not been a sales maverick like some of its siblings in the Royal Enfield line-up, the bike offers a sportier appeal. If you’re looking for a neo-retro streetfighter that blends a sporty edge with cruiser aesthetics, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla could be one of the best choices.
The new Shadow Ash trim is based on the mid-spec Dash trim level and sits below the top-spec Flash trim. It has been priced at ₹2.49 lakh, the same as the standard colourways. Bookings for the new colourway have already commenced, with deliveries beginning on August 25 across India.
With this new trim, riders get a dual-tone themed fuel tank – black with a darker tone at the front and an olive-green shade continuing along the rest of the bike. The front mudguard is finished in black, while the rest of the bodywork is painted olive green.
The new colour accents also extend to the alloy wheels. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged, powered by the same Sherpa 450 engine – a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC 4V powerhouse delivering 40 bhp of peak power and 40 Nm of torque. It continues to feature electronic throttle, a slipper clutch, and a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by 17-inch alloys at both ends with a 160-section rear tyre, dual-channel ABS, RSU telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock. Mechanically, the bike is the same as before. Would it be enough against the competition, compared to the NS 400 as the KTM and Husqvarna twins? The bike is a little underpowered since it’s priced similarly to the flagships.
