One of the world’s most popular bike manufacturer, Royal Enfield, is set to debut the EV segment. The company has been expanding its portfolio rapidly.
Royal Enfield has shared the first official teaser of their upcoming electric bike. The company captioned it- “4th Nov, 2024- Save the Date.” Royal Enfield’s official website read, “What will hit the road soon is a new category of electric two-wheelers from Royal Enfield to answer the call for urban mobility offering a sophisticated, nimble and connected experience. Though technology advances, our commitment to purity remains. Get ready for the drop.”
Royal Enfield Electric Motorcycle: What And When To Expect?
The first concept image of Royal Enfield electric bike, Electrik 01 was first seen in 2022. However, the company has patented the bike’s design in India recently. Royal Enfield is likely to unveil the design and patented version of its first ever electric bike on November 4, 2024.
The new electric bike will feature a fancy swingarm, single-seat setup, small circular headlight, according to the report of “Rushlane”. The battery and motor details of the bike are not yet unveiled by the Royal Enfield. However, several media reports suggest that the performance is likely to be similar to what Royal Enfield 350cc motorcycles offer.
Notably, the very first image of an electric prototype from Royal Enfield was surfaced on the internet two years back. According to media reports, The Royal Enfield has multiple new vehicles planned based on their 350cc, 450cc and 650cc platforms. The company is eying to widen its portfolio horizon and make a remarkable debut in the EV segment with Electrik 01.
