New Delhi: Royal Enfield is working on three new 650cc motorcycles that have been caught testing on camera several times. The company’s new range of 650cc bikes will include the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 and Royal Enfield Scrambler 650. It is speculated that the RE Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 could be unveiled at EICMA 2022.
This will be the 79th edition of the premiere motorcycle exhibition in Milan, Italy. The motorcycle event will take place from November 8 to 13, 2022.
Royal Enfield Bikes
While the timeline for the launch of the new RE 650cc bikes in India is yet to be revealed, both models are said to go on sale sometime next year. Reports suggest that the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 could make their India debut at Rider Mania 2022, which will be held from November 18 to 20 in Goa.
For propulsion, the new RE 650 bikes will use the same 648cc parallel twin engine that is used in the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. The engine, which has been boosted with fuel injection technology, delivers a claimed power of 47bhp and 52Nm of torque.
Both models will have a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Suspension will be provided by USD front forks and two rear shock absorbers. Stopping power will come from front and rear disc brakes. Dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) will be standard.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will feature a round headlamp, retro-styled tail light and turn indicators, large windshield, chrome bumper guards, alloy wheels with pre-tensioned tyres, front footpegs, thicker rear fender, low suspension and twin pipe. exhaust.
The RE Shotgun 650 will have a circular halogen headlight and indicators, black-finish pea-shooter exhausts and split seats. Both bikes will come with detailed Tripper navigation and a semi-digital dual instrument cluster.
