New Delhi: In a groundbreaking development, Bengaluru-based electric scooter manufacturer River has officially rolled out the first unit of its highly anticipated electric scooter, the River Indie. With a production hub located in Hosakote, the company is set to redefine the electric two-wheeler landscape with its exceptional features and design.

Diving into the features, the electric scooter boasts motorcycle-like turn indicators, dual-pod LED headlights, and telescopic fork suspensions at the front. The vehicle is equipped with a spacious and comfortable seat, perfect for embarking on long journeys with ease.

Moreover, it features 14-inch alloy wheels, a substantial 43-litre storage space, and a USB charging port, complemented by a fully digital display that showcases various scooter features.

Impressive range and speed

River has integrated a powerful 4kW lithium-ion battery into the electric scooter, cementing its reputation as a force to be reckoned with. The battery is securely fixed within the scooter’s floorboard, ensuring both convenience and safety.

The company claims that a single charge can deliver an impressive range of 120 kilometers. Charging the battery to 80% capacity takes around 5 hours, while a full charge requires approximately 6 hours.

The electric motor embedded within the scooter generates a torque of 26Nm. This empowers the scooter to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, ultimately reaching a top speed of 90 km/h.
