New Delhi: Tesla announced its Cybertruck in 2019, although electric vehicle manufacturers have yet to bring an electric vehicle to market. They pushed the launch several times and still failed to bring the electric pickup truck to market.

Additionally, the multinational car brand has announced its entry into the Indian market, but has failed to make a mark in India. Due to the constant delays, one enthusiast in India lost patience and decided to make his own Tesla Cybertruck.

India’s ‘Tesla Cyrbertruck’ was recently spotted during ‘The Valley Run (TVR)’ in Maharashtra, ‘Car.Crazy.India’ shared its picture on social media. The images show that the vehicle has been designed to mimic the original electric vehicle design. The images show a man changing the tires on a knockoff Tesla Cybertruck.

Unlike the real Tesla Cybertruck, the Indian copy of the truck appears to be powered by an internal combustion engine. However, exact vehicle data is not available.

After some time, the Tesla Cybertruck made headlines again in October 2022, when Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the electric pickup can “briefly serve as a boat” and can be used to navigate on bodies of water.

According to Musk, the goal is for the Tesla Cybertruck to be able to travel from South Padre Island, Texas, to SpaceX’s star base by water. Meanwhile, he added that the Cybertruck is waterproof and can cross these bodies of water. In his tweet, he added that the truck can also overcome seas that are “not too rough”.

The tweet read: “Cybertruck will be waterproof enough to briefly double as a boat, so it can cross rivers, lakes and even seas that aren’t too rough.” He added, “He must be able to get from Starbase to South Padre Island, which requires crossing the channel.”
