Tata Sierra was first launched back in 1991. Back then it was the first ever SUV launched by an Indian Car Manufacturer. It was based on the Tata’s Telcoline, shared the same naturally aspirated, 2.0-liter 483 Dl – a four cylinder diesel engine. It was discontinued in 2003.
Tata Motors showcased a EV concept named as Sierra at the 2020 Auto expo, with no information of its launch. The manufacturers now revealed that Tata Seirra will be launched by the end of 2025. This all new Sierra is expected to be launched in two variants- ICE and EV. According to the reports, EV variants are expected to be launched first, same as the Tata Curvv.
According to the reports, the Sierra is expected to be launch around the festive seasons to create a buzz in the industry.
Exterior
When it comes to the design, the new Sierra carrying forward the elements from its predecessor. It comes along with the newer design aesthetics, wide rectangular windows and a thicker B pillar. Unlike the old version, it comes up with 4 door design and bigger windows flowing towards rear windshield. Some of the key features include the sportier dual tone wheels, LED lights running throughout the front and at the rear. The rear also gets a top mounted spoiler .
Interior
The interiors seems to be aligned with new gen Tata cars. It is likely to get similar features such as ventilated seats, dual touchscreens, ventilated seats, leather upholstery, wireless charging along with the illuminated Tata logo.
Tata Sierra : Powertrains
The ICE variants will likely get a 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol engine and a similar diesel engine that comes along with the Harrier and Safari. However, the EV variant is expected to come up with a 55KWH battery pack along with DC fast charging.
