Norton’s Imminent Arrival To Be Royal Enfield’s Nightmare? 6 New Bikes To Be Launched Within A Duration Of….

These bikes would be powered by a 1200cc V 4 engine that produces 185Hp  at 12,000 rpm and 125 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 RPM- further News Below-

The fact that the two wheeler manufacturers in India have showcased a meteoric rise in the last thee years has seemingly resonated well with international manufacturers. The growth trends showcased by brands like KTM and BMW, and the ease of manufacturing these brands have been able to enjoy in India to export overseas has been profound motivators for other international brands to join in the Indian market. With a similar approach Norton has been planning  to launch itself in India by the end of 2025. In a recent report by Auto Car it has been revealed that the brand would debut with one of its flagship bikes in India.

Norton To Bring The V4 CR in India?

Autocar has revealed that Norton has been planning to debut with a 4 cylinder 1200 cc engine flagship bike. Although the production process would probably be taken care of by TVS, Norton has revealed that they would be launching a differentiated sales channel for Norton brand in India. The only input that has been revealed pertains to the launch of a flagship bike in India the brand did not reveal any other detail.

Norton’s Plans Ahead Of The Debut

It’s possible that the product that they launch first would be a fully faired Norton V4 SV, or the naked V4 Cr. Since the brand had already showcased the V4 CR at the TVS stand on Bharat Mobility Expo, it’s possible that, Norton would proceed India with the launch of V4 Cr. These bikes would be powered by a 1200cc V 4 engine that produces 185HP at 12,000 rpm and 125 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 RPM. The bikes would be able to set new quality standards in the Indian market thanks to their high-end Aluminum chassis, Billet aluminum swingarm and high spec Ohlins suspension. 

Norton has been working along with TVS to produce new single-cylinder and twin-cylinder motorcycles under the Norton banner. Further the brand has planned to launch 6 new products in the next three years.  As of yet Norton has only planned to launch a flagship, but over time they could eke out to Royal Enfield market with midsize cruisers that would compete against the likes of the Interceptor and the Continental GT.
