How is ethanol made?
While flex-fuel vehicles run on ethanol, ethanol is produced sustainably from ingredients such as cane sugar and corn. Hence, it makes ethanol a good alternative to buying foreign oil. Apart from this, it will help the farmers of the country to get a fair price for sugarcane.
Ethanol is being seen as an alternative fuel, its cost is Rs 60-62 per liter whereas the price of petrol is more than Rs 100 per liter in many parts of the country, so its use will cost people Rs 30-35 per liter. liters will be saved.
What is this technology?
Flex fuel is made by mixing ethanol or methanol with petrol. In order to run the engine of flex fuel cars on two or more fuels, some technical changes are required in it. This engine can also run completely on petrol or ethanol. In countries like Canada, USA and Brazil, vehicles running on this technology are being used.
