New Delhi: Vehicle manufacturer Nissan India is working on plans to expand its lineup in the country in the next few years. The company has already showcased the X-Trail and Qashqai SUVs. Currently, the testing of these cars is going on. The Nissan X-Trail can be launched in mid-2023. Which will compete with Toyota Fortuner. Also now, the company has also revealed that it will bring a new 7-seater MPV which will be based on the Renault Tiber. This car will be built on the CMF-A+ platform.
How will be the new MPV
Nissan has not yet disclosed any details about its new 7-seater MPV. However, it is expected to get the same powertrain and features as the Renault Triber. In which a 1.0L, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine can be seen. This engine produces 71bhp power and 96Nm torque. The company can also offer the option of a turbocharged petrol engine in this new car. It can get the option of both manual and AMT gearbox. In terms of design, the new Nissan 7-seater MPV will be different from the Renault Tiber, but still some of its elements may be similar to the Triber.

X Trail is coming
Nissan’s X-Trail is going to hit the market soon, this SUV will get a 1.5L turbo petrol engine, which can use mild hybrid or strong hybrid technology. The mild hybrid version will get 163PS of power, which can be equipped with a 2WD system. While the power of 204PS will be available with the strong hybrid engine and it will also have the option of 2WD and AWD. The X-Trail will be offered with a choice of 5 and 7-seating layouts.

Can compete with Maruti Ertiga
Nissan’s new MPV can compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, in which a 1.5L petrol engine is available. The car gets both manual and automatic transmission options. The starting ex-showroom price of this car is Rs 8.35 lakh.
