New TVS Ntorq 150 Teased Ahead Of Launch, To Rival Yamaha And Aprilia?

TVS teases the all-new NTORQ 150cc scooter, set to compete against the likes of Yamaha and Aprilia.

TVS was among the first manufacturers to bring a sporty aesthetic to commuter scooters in the 125cc segment. Having built a strong reputation as a stalwart in the category, the brand now aims to replicate that success in the 150cc space – a move hinted at by the recent spotting of an NTORQ 150cc test mule. The scooter has now been teased for the first time ahead of its launch.

TVS Ntorq Teased

Since the 125cc Ntorq’s debut in 2018, TVS has kept it fresh with regular updates to counter an ever-growing list of competitors. Now, with the possible launch of a new 150cc model, TVS is preparing to enter a segment until now dominated by Aprilia and Yamaha. The scooter will take on the likes of Yamaha’s Aerox 155, Aprilia SR175, and the soon-to-launch Hero Xoom 160.

As per a test mule sighting reported by Rushlane, It features a quad-projector LED headlight setup, while the overall bodywork appears to retain design accents similar to the current Ntorq.

Rumours suggest that the TVS Ntorq 150 will produce around 12 BHP of peak power and 13 N·m of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox. Based on the teaser, it promises a thrilling ride with improved acceleration from the increased displacement, and the exhaust note carries a deeper, bassy tone.

Being a step up from the existing 125cc models, the scooter is expected to come equipped with disc brakes and a 5-inch TFT instrument screen, similar to the one on the Raider 125.
