New Delhi: TVS Motor Company, one of the country’s leading two wheeler manufacturers, has launched a new classic version of its very popular scooter model Jupiter. This is the high end variant of this scooter. The company has kept the ex-showroom price of this new variant of Jupiter at Rs 85,866.

What’s the update?

There is a lot of change in the look of Jupiter Classic. It gets mirror highlights, 3D logo, a black theme in the fender garnish, premium suede leatherette seats, a new visor and handlebar, dark brown inner panels, new decals and dials, diamond-cut alloy wheels and backrest behind the seat.

Features

The new Jupiter Classic gets a host of features like engine kill switch with all-in-one lock, side stand indicator, front utility box, low fuel warning, LED headlamps, retractable hook bags, 21 liters of boot space, an external fuel filler and electric starter. Features are available.

Engine

The scooter is powered by a 109.7 cc, single-cylinder fuel injection engine that produces 7.47 PS of power and 8.4 Nm of peak torque. The same engine is also available in its old current model. This scooter has been launched in two color options like Mystic Gray and Regal Purple.

Braking and suspension

TVS has given telescopic forks at the front, gas-charged shock absorbers with 3-step adjustment at the rear, disc brakes at its front and rear. Also tubeless tires have been given in it. TVS Jupiter competes with scooters like Hero Pleasure Plus, Hero Maestro Edge 110 and Honda Activa in the Indian market.
