Indian Auto manufacturers are gearing up for the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo in January. Tata seems to be on the move as well with the motive to showcase their new new vehicles at the expo. As of yet it has become apparent that the brand would showcase an eclectic mix of their internal combustion as well as EV vehicles.
Over the years Tata has showcased profound commitment to provide the Indian market with the best tech at the most affordable prices. Following the same ideology the brand plans to showcase the following vehicles.
Tata Sierra EV
Tata Sierra is a legend that is about to be given a new life in the guise of an EV SUV. Those who have been waiting to witness the vehicle would be able to do so at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Its possible that the Sierra might be offered as a internal combustion variant as well. The EV version would be provided with a 60 to 80 KWH battery pack that would deliver a drivable range of around 500 km on single full charge. Its not clear what engine would power the ICE variant but as per the engine options that the brand has it would either be a 1.5 Litre turbocharged Petrol or a 2.0 Litre Diesel for the diesel Variant.
Harrier EV
Harrier has been a runaway success for Tata, would the EV version of the vehicle be able to create the effect only time will tell. As of yet its clear that the EV variant would be powered by a Dual Motor AWD setup. For the entry level variants a single motor version would be made available as well. While the brand has not released any details about the battery size of the vehicle its apparent that the car would have a driving range of about 450-550 on a single full charge. The car would closely mimic the styling of the ICE Harrier with a few changes on the façade as well as the Body.
Tata Safari EV
Tata is planning to considerably increase the vehicles in their EV line up and hence they would be soon be offering a EV Safari as well. The car is set to be launched in February. The vehicle would be a EV MPV with three row seating that is particular to the Safari Moniker. Safari would have similar EV credentials as that of the harrier with a driving range of around 400 to 500 km on a Single full charge. Both Harrier as well as the Safari would cater to the EV MPV segment that as of yet has only one contender the MG Windsor.
Harrier Petrol
Tata could also launch a Petrol variant of a Tata Harrier in the Bharat Mobility Expo soon. The vehicle could be significant addition in Tata’s Lineup, the Petrol safari would be powered by a 1.5 liter Turbo Petrol Engine that would churn out a power output of around 170 PS with a 280 Nm of peak torque. Its also possible that the vehicle would be mated to a DCT as well as a normal AMT transmission as well. The petrol Harrier would be pitched as a more affordable variant in to the Harrier range.
Tata Punch
Its possible that Tata might revamp its current Ice line up with mid cycle facelifts for the Tata Tiago, Tigor as well as the Punch. The updated versions are expected to be launched at the Baharat Mobility Expo with new looks but similar engine configurations a before.
