New Delhi: Bookings for the new Jeep Grand Cherokee 2023 have officially opened in India. The prices of the SUV are set to be announced on November 11 and deliveries are likely to start by the end of the month.
It will be the brand’s fourth model to be assembled at the company’s Ranjangaon plant in Pune. The new Grand Cherokee will derive some of its design elements from the Wagoneer and Meridian SUVs. Several changes and feature enhancements will also be made inside the cabin.
This time the SUV will be offered only with a petrol engine. The new Grand Cherokee will use a 2.0L turbo petrol engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will come with the Quadra-Trac I 4X4 system and selectable off-road modes.
Globally, the American SUV manufacturer sells it in two versions – the 5-seater and the three-row Grand Cherokee L. The former is approximately 294 mm shorter than the latter. In India, the company will introduce a five-seater version of the SUV.
