No changes are likely to be made to its engine setup. The Hero Maestro Xoom is likely to derive power from the same 110.9cc, air-cooled engine that does duty in the Maestro Edge.

The motor delivers a claimed power of 8bhp at 7,250rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5,750rpm. It will be benefited with Hero’s i3S technology enhancing its fuel efficiency. One can switch it on via a dedicated button placed on the handlebar.

Talking about Hero’s upcoming products, the company is all set to launch its very first electric scooter under its Vida sub-brand on October 7, 2022. The model is expected to cost around Rs 1 lakh and take on the TVS iQube and Bajaj e-Chetak.

Hero’s Andhra Pradesh based facility will serve as production hub for the e-scooter. Besides, the home-grown two-wheeler maker is testing the new Hero XPluse 421cc, Hero XPluse 300 and Hero Xtreme 300.
