New Delhi: After launching the new Hyryder, Toyota is now gearing up to launch the new Innova Hybrid in the country. Ahead of India, the new Toyota Innova Hybrid will go on sale in the Indonesian market in early November 2022. In fact, dealers have started accepting pre-orders for the new model at a token amount of Rp. 15 million (approximately INR 80,000).

Before the official market launch, key elements of the interior of the new Toyota Innova Hybrid have leaked online. Leaks reveal that the new Innova will have several high-end features that are missing from the existing model. In fact, the new MPV will be based on a new platform and will not be offered with a diesel powertrain.

Key Features Of The New Toyota Innova Hybrid

– Toyota Safety Sense

– Multi-colored ambient light
– LED headlight and brake light
– Partially soft pad on the dashboard
– Flat floor
– Storage space under the floor

The Indonesian model is said to be called the new Innova Zenix. The Indian model will be called the new Innova HyCross, which is in line with the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder (Hy stands for Hybrid). The new generation Innova will be based on a new monocoque platform with a front wheel drive setup instead of the existing ladder chassis and RWD layout. It will have a 2860 mm long wheelbase, which is 100 mm longer than the current model.

The new Innova’s hybrid powertrain setup will include a gasoline engine with an electric motor and an electric battery. The MPV is likely to come with a 2.0L petrol hybrid system or a 1.8L hybrid setup. The company could use a localized version of THS II (Toyota Hybrid System II), which consists of a twin-motor setup for high “step” torque and fuel economy.

The Maharashtra election may further push the Congress down as it has lost the election at a time when it needed a win most desperately. Though the Congress succeeded in pushing the BJP to a corner and stopping it at less than a majority on its own, it failed to make any headway further.
