New Design Changes

The new ICE-powered JCW will be equipped with a slew of design elements that will make it appear slightly more sporty than the regular model. The car will have a blacked-out grille with Mini’s signature flag monogram, with a John Cooper Works badge on it. The car will feature new air intakes on both sides of the front bumper and red decals on the hood for a sportier appearance.

The new JCW will also feature JCW-specific rims, red brake calipers, a JCW badge on the C-pillar, and a new slightly red hue on the roof of the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle will be refreshed with an all-black cabin interior, red accents on the dashboard and seat upholstery, and red ambient lights to enhance the sporty feel of the vehicle.

Features

The upcoming Countryman will have all the bells and whistles that one expects from a premium vehicle. The car will offer a 9.4-inch circular OLED infotainment system. Beyond that, it will include a sound system by Harman Kardon, a new head-up display, auto AC with rear vents, electronically adjustable front seats, and a panoramic glass roof.

Engine and Specs

Under the hood, the JCW will be powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that puts out 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The car will be mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, which will send power to all four wheels of the SUV. Mini claims that the Countryman JCW can do a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

Prices

The JCW is expected to be priced at around ₹70 lakh (ex-showroom). Last time, a limited number of EVs were allotted for sale in India. If a similar route is followed for the ICE variant, it’s possible that prices might soar even higher than before. The new variant is expected to be priced around Rs 70 lakh.
